01Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GPLuniverse website and services ("GPLuniverse", "we", "us", or "our"). By visiting our website, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.

02Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding agreement to use GPLuniverse. By using our services, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

03Your account

• You are responsible for providing accurate information when registering and for keeping it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that happens under your account.
• Account sharing is not allowed. Your membership is for your own use, and login credentials may not be shared with or transferred to others.
• You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

04Memberships & plans

GPLuniverse offers Starter, Pro, Lifetime, and Reseller membership plans. Each plan grants access to download GPL-licensed products for the duration and scope described on the plan at the time of purchase.

• One-time payments — no auto-renewal. All plans, including monthly and yearly options, are paid as a one-time charge. We do not automatically renew memberships or charge your payment method again. When your access period ends, you may simply purchase again whenever you choose.
• Because nothing renews automatically, there is no subscription to cancel — you will never be charged unless you actively make a new purchase.
• No free trial. We do not currently offer a free trial.
• Access to specific products may change over time as our catalogue is updated.

05Payments & pricing

• Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept cards, Google Pay, and Amazon Pay.
• All prices are shown at checkout. We may update prices, plans, and offers at any time, but changes will not affect a purchase you have already completed.
• You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to your purchase under your local laws.
• We do not store your full card details on our servers; payment information is handled by our payment processor.

06Products & GPL licensing

The themes and plugins available on GPLuniverse are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) or a compatible license. The GPL grants you broad freedoms to use, modify, and run the software on as many of your own websites as you wish.

• Independence. GPLuniverse is an independent marketplace. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the original authors or developers of the products we offer. All product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the products.
• What your membership covers. Your membership gives you, the account holder, access to download products through GPLuniverse. This access is personal to your account.
• Reselling. Reselling or redistributing products as a commercial service through or alongside a GPLuniverse account is permitted only under the Reseller plan. Other plans are for the account holder's own use.
• Support & updates. Updates are provided as they become available to us. Product support from the original author is generally not included, as these are GPL-licensed redistributions; our support covers download access and account help.

07Refunds

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. If a product does not work and our team is unable to fix the issue, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase. Full details and conditions are set out in our Refund Policy.

08Acceptable use

When using GPLuniverse, you agree not to:

• Share, sell, or transfer your account access in breach of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other accounts, or our servers.
• Use the website to distribute malware or engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
• Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the website.
• Initiate fraudulent payment disputes or chargebacks for products you have received.

09Intellectual property

The GPLuniverse name, logo, website design, and original content are the property of GPLuniverse and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy or reuse our branding or website content without permission. The software products themselves are licensed under their respective open-source licenses, and their intellectual property remains with their original authors.

10Disclaimers

Our website and products are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that the website or products will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every environment. You are responsible for testing products and keeping backups of your own websites before installing them.

11Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GPLuniverse will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our website or products. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the purchase giving rise to the claim.

12Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to GPLuniverse if you breach these Terms, misuse the service, or engage in fraudulent or abusive activity. Where appropriate and lawful, we will give you notice. You may stop using the service at any time.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which GPLuniverse operates. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be handled under those laws. Nothing in these Terms removes any rights you may have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your own country.
